Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. Has Money Problems?
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=20820
If true, could this be the main reason Floyd Mayweather Jr. is making a comeback? And if true, how can we be sure that Floyd Mayweather's heart and head are truly into boxing, and not the money? Last but not least, if true, should those of us giving Mayweather the early, *inevitable* win against Marquez revise our predictions? Some important questions to answer.
It is total irony that Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. seems to have financial problems....then again, most prize fighters do.

Mayweather vs. Marquez Is Back On For September 19
Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez is officially back on. The bout is rescheduled for September 19.
After being cleared to fight by his doctor, Mayweather said, "I am relieved to be cleared to fight as I was already looking forward to getting back into the ring.
"Trust me, 19 September is a great weekend for boxing, and all of my fans, of which there are many Mexicans too, can certainly hold on to their hats and sombreros when I get back into the ring and show them what they have been missing these past 18 months. I will destroy Marquez and reclaim my rightful place as boxing's pound-for-pound king all in one night."
I'm glad the fight is back on, although I must disagree with Mayweather on one point; if Floyd is to reclaim boxing's number one pound-for-pound spot, he must first beat Manny Pacquiao. Defeating Juan Manuel Marquez, on his first trip to the ring in over a year would be impressive for Mayweather - no doubt about it. But it wont put him above Manny Pacquiao.
Marquez had this to say about the rescheduled bout with Mayweather: "I am happy that Mayweather has been cleared to fight and we can get down to business. This weekend is not just an important weekend for boxing, but even more so for all of the Mexican and Mexican-American people I will be fighting for."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Injured!
There have been rumors that Floyd didn't really injure himself and the cancellation of the fight is due to bad pre-fight ticket sales. But that's only speculation. No news yet on whether the fight will be rescheduled, or if it will be rescheduled at all.
This summer was shaping up to be a memorable time for boxing fans; first David Haye, now Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather VS. Maruqez Photos

One thing that stands out to me is Mayweather's size. He is noticeably bigger than Marquez, and will be on fight night too.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Is Set To Return July 18!
Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been out of boxing and "retired" for a little over a year and a half. Shortly after he defeated Ricky Hatton via 10th round TKO, Mayweather announced his retirement from the sport of boxing. Many people in the boxing world speculated that Floyd Mayweather's leave of absense would not last long. They were right.
Juan Manuel Marquez will be coming up in weight to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. The naturally bigger Mayweather is favored by many boxing fans to win, and rightfully so - but by no means should Marquez be a push-over; he's a gifted, tough fighter, with a great chin, commendable determination and an effective counter puncher.
It will be interesting to see how Juan Manuel Marquez deals with the jump in weight. On the other hand, Mayweather's inactivity may turn out to be the deciding factor in this bout. While Floyd Mayweather Jr. is superman, he's still human - and he's facing a gutty Mexican who will undoubtably come to fight.
Whatever the outcome, the sport of boxing is looking up. Stay tuned!
